What is News?:

There has been much speculation in today's world about what truly is news, what's gossip, and what's just fallacies dragged along by someone who wants their "five minutes of fame". In my opinion, news can come in many forms and along with various intentions. Overall, news can be briefly explained as any information given that is either the latest or at most, noteworthy. Thus, news can be on pretty much any topics such as weather, politics, entertainment, and even local crime. News definitely doesn't just stop at newspaper stands. Nowadays current information can be attained right at the grasp of one's fingertips.
In essence, news is exchanged pretty much everywhere not just read, as it used to be in earlier years. From television
broadcasts, radio stations, newspapers, magazines, computers, and even on phones with the aid of the internet knowledge is given to people around the world to let them now what is going on around them and considered important or a "hot topic" in their society.
The difference between news and other communication is that news is suppose to just supply that facts of what going on around their audience. As a result, their targeted crowd can then decide for themselves what action they should take regarding this matter or if in fact, it even applies to them at all. With the aching desire for fame and easily accessible networks, it seems we have long passed the day were we were fighting for freedom of speech in the first amendment of the constitution and now have acquired a new dilemma.
This fresh headache can only be described as greed. Many deemed honorable places that were once used to receive information has now turned to barely appropriate family networks and organizations that replace quality information for the next scandal or mess-up someone of notary has. It sad, who waits for someone to fall or fail? Usually none, but in today's age mistakes intrigue people, people equal views, and at the end of the day higher views equal greater total revenue. If you ask many widely-known sources for news they will tell you that their mission is to provide clear, concise up to date subjects for their audience. But no, in actually, that is our mission here at Blogger.com, one of the world's largest news organizations. I believe Charles Anderson Dana, and american journalist said it best during the eighteen hundreds that still correlates to today's modern world. He said, "when a dog bites a man that is not news, but when a man bites a dog that is news."
